Patty Guerra has been at The Modesto Bee, a McClatchy newspaper in California’s Central Valley, since 1999, starting as a reporter and holding a number of positions before taking on the role of Managing Editor in early 2018.
Patty enjoys reading, baking and going on adventures with her family. Her family consists of husband, Joe Cortez, and 10-year-old son, Nicholas. She also has twin adult stepdaughters who live in Montana. But before moving away they did her proud by attending her alma mater, Fresno State. Patty is a proud alum and big fan of Fresno State and a faithful follower of the San Francisco Giants.
