The James Irvine Foundation

Since 1937, The James Irvine Foundation has provided more than $1.78 billion in grants to nonprofit organizations working across California. The guiding principle in all our grantmaking is to expand opportunity, and in 2016 we announced a specific focus of expanding economic and political opportunity for California families and young adults that are working but struggling with poverty.

The NLN: Stanislaus Community Partner.

Stanislaus Community Foundation (SCF) is a place-based funder that has served the residents of Stanislaus County since 2002. SCF strongly believes that Stanislaus County is a community of choice where people can live, work, and thrive. To support this vision, SCF nurtures partnerships and grows charitable resources to advance the common good in Stanislaus County.

As part of its vision to build leadership in the region, Stanislaus Community Foundation provides local backbone support for the Irvine New Leadership Network: Stanislaus. The organization is also the lead convener for the Stanislaus READS! grade-level reading initiative and the Stanislaus Futures scholarship campaign. In 2018, SCF will build on the momentum of both Stanislaus READS! and Stanislaus Futures to launch the Cradle to Career Partnership with multiple partners.

To date, Stanislaus Community Foundation has invested more than $15M in grants and scholarships in Stanislaus County.
