Yolanda Meraz
Director of Community Investment, Self-Help Federal Credit Union
Yolanda is a marketing and product development professional with more than 16 years of experience in the areas of financial services and community outreach. She specializes in immigrant and underserved communities, and utilizes her expertise in design and communications to inform the public about programs and services available to them. Through her tenure at Self-Help, she has learned that access to responsible savings, loans, and transactions is key to financial security and improved opportunity for low-income families. Yolanda is passionate about giving underserved communities the tools to make wise financial decisions. She co-developed an award winning budgeting curriculum and hosts a weekly financial literacy segment on a Spanish radio station.
Yolanda is a graduate of Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico with a bachelor’s degree in Communications, and holds a Computers Graphics Certification from Stanislaus State University. She was the recipient of the Tomorrow Star Award by the California Credit Union League and the Diamond Award by the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council.
