Michelle Reimers
Assistant General Manager, External Affairs, Turlock Irrigation District
Michelle Reimers was born in raised in Stanislaus County and received her a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communications from California State University Stanislaus. Michelle joined the Turlock Irrigation District in August 2006 and was appointed to her present position of Assistant General Manager, External Affairs in September 2016. She is responsible for managing the strategic planning and development for the District’s communications, outreach, education and government affairs programs and initiatives.
Michelle advocates on TID’s behalf via several state and national professional organizations including the American Public Power Association, Public Relations Society of America, California Farm Bureau Federation and the Association of California Water Agencies. Her local involvement in organizations and events include the National Ag Science Center’s Ag Hall of Fame Dinner, Vines Committee member for CSUS Alumni, Leadership Turlock and the Central Valley Public Relations Organization.
In addition to working at TID, Michelle and her husband Ted own and operate Black Butte Orchards, farming 75 acres of almonds and 50 acres of walnuts. They have been married for 10 years and have two children, Jasper and Wyatt.
